Layton 7 Is… A Thing?
Uh, okay, Level-5. It was one thing to use the Layton name for the Layton Brothers on iOS. At least that game held a spiritual similarity to the main series Layton games, but I have no idea what the hell the above footage for the new Layton 7 game is supposed to be. (Though it all being in Japanese doesn’t help.) It’s probably too early to say anything meaningful about it one way or the other, lord knows that hasn’t stopped the gamer hyperbole train though, but it’s a hell of a departure from normal Layton.
Here’s hoping it turns out to be something interesting and fun though! Level-5 has at least earned that level of trust from us I’d say. Layton 7 is coming sometime to mobile devices.
