Final Fantasy Tactics Can Stay In Japan

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance was my favorite Gameboy Advance game. The graphics, the music, the battles, it all just felt so right to me. Even if the sequel didn’t exactly live up to my hopes and dreams, it was still a very solid game. But, in standard Square-Enix tradition lately, I couldn’t summon any excitement for the new Final Fantasy Tactics S that recently came out in Japan.

Why?

It’s a mobile game. And it uses Mobage. That doesn’t bode well for the game being little more than a tap to win, boring, generic, in app powered bore fest. I could be wrong. I want to be wrong. But given Square-Enix’s track record when it comes to mobile games, I doubt I am. Check out the trailer below.
