Mew-Genics is Cats and Pokemon or The Death of the Internet
It’s no secret that the internet kind of likes cats so the new game, Mew-Genics by Team Meat, the creators of Super meat Boy, seems like a match made in heaven. In their latest blog post the team reveasl that not only will their new game be all about cats and kittens, that it will also share many similarities with the Pokemon games, namely that cats can ‘evolve’ from a child state to an adult state. There are cats that have square jaws, alien eyes, and terrifying powers. And this is supposedly just a few of the many thousands of cat varieties you’ll be able to make.
What does the evolved version of grumpy cat look like? Somehow, I don’t think the world is ready for something of that terror level. It’ll probably give grumpy cat ideas, and when grumpy cat begins to plot the world will inevitably suffer. Thanks for that, Mew-Genics.
Whether or not is causes the inevitable cat apocalypse remains to be seen, but for now I’m still excited for Mew-Genics releasing sometime in 2013.
