300 Games, No Feedback

I was going to write about the Final Fantasy VIII HD remake this morning, but then I saw something far more interesting than a remake of a shitty game from the PSX area that is little more than the dying gasps of a once superb developer.

It’s really easy to make games right now, y’all. Incredibly easy. Twine, Ren’py, Game Maker, all services that require next to no coding skills allow you to make games on the fly and for very little. This also means that it is incredibly easy to overlook games made by all the amateurs, lord knows I do it all the time. And someone decided that was a bad thing.

The owner of Zero Feedback has decided to travel the internet and look for games that, as the name would imply, have received zero feedback and then give them some feedback. I’m completely on board with this idea, even if I end up playing only a few of these titles that’s a few more titles than I’d otherwise have played and that’s an admirable goal in and of itself. The site currently has looked through a little over 300 games.

If you’ll excuse me, I have 300 games to sift through.
